Azlan Malaysia

CONCEPTUAL MASTERPLAN FOR THE PROPOSED NEW REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF AZLAN MALAYSIA, PERAK DARUL RIDZUAN

PROJECT BACKGROUND

Azlan Malaysia, as represented by the native flower of Bunga Kangsar or Hibiscus Floccosus mast, is a regional development that is built upon the rich heritage and history of Perak imbued with Islam and Malay architecture. However, Azlan Malaysia is forward looking in its outlook. It emphasizes sustainability, green, world class education and intelligent technologies.

The Bunga Kangsar has five petals. These five petals, together with the receptacle, in the context of Azlan Malaysia, represent six specially designed and promoted growth areas, most appropriate for the state of Perak, namely;

• Laman Mudzaffar – Darul Hikmah (education)
• Laman Mansur – Agro-based and Eco-tourism
• Laman Tajuddin – Pharmaceutical industry
• Laman Tajul Ariffin – Security and IT based industry
• Laman Alauddin – Darul Syifa’ (health and wellness industry)
• Kota Azlan Shah – the Central Business District (CBD) and the Administrative Centre for Azlan Malaysia.

Azlan Malaysia is set to be the catalyst and serves as a paradigm shift for the future rapid socio-economic development for Perak and the northern region of Malaysia. Its focus on world class education and intelligent technologies augurs well with Perak’s Development Vision i.e. Meletakan Negeri Perak di persada dunia berteraskan pembangunan ICT and pendidikan tinggi yang unggul.
