CHAIRMAN
Professor TPr. Dr. Mariana Mohamed Osman
Dr. Mariana is currently a Professor at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED), International Islamic University Malaysia. She is a chartered Town Planning for Royal Town Planning Institute since 2001, a Corporate member for Board of Town Planner (A0436) and Co-opted Council Member of Malaysian Institute of Planner (MIP). She previously worked as Town Planner in private practice in Malaysia and as a Town Planning officer in Wolverhamton City Council in the UK, prior to joining the International Islamic University Malaysia in August 2001. At IIUM, she helped in the establishment of the Master of Urban and Regional Planning and Master of Urban Management.
She has held administrative position as Deputy Director of IIUM Research Management Centre. She is actively involved with the society through professional consultancy activities in Malaysia. Dr. Mariana is active in research, postgraduate supervision and consultancy. She has authored, co-authored, edited and co-edited books and papers on urban planning and practices. Her research interest includes community and social planning, housing, tourism, transportation planning and heritage and conservation.

Assistant Professor TPr. Dr. Muhammad Faris Abdullah
He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED) and a Director of Office for Strategy and Institutional Change, International Islamic University Malaysia. Dr. Muhammad Faris began his career as a town planning officer in a private urban planning firm before joining IIUM as academic staff. He has worked on various consulting jobs including preparation of urban development plan, preparation of environmental management plan and development of planning support systems for both private and public clients.
He is a registered town planner (A0511) in Malaysia. He is also actively involved with the society through professional consultancy activities in Malaysia. Dr Muhammad Faris is passionate about urban planning practices, being involved in various research and consultancy works such as the study on Dasar Perumahan Negara 2018-2025 and the development of Natural Sustainable River Ecology Model System into The Urban Blue Grids of the Urban Ecosystem.


DIRECTOR
Associate Professor TPr. Dr. Norzailawati Hj. Mohd Noor
Dr. Norzailawati is currently the Deputy Dean of Academic Affair in Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design and an associate professor at Department of Urban and Regional Planning, International Islamic University Malaysia. She holds a PhD in Remote Sensing, Msc in Remote Sensing, Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning and Diploma of Urban and Regional Planning. With awarded as Excellence awards for the PhD thesis on Urban Remote sensing modelling. Currently, Professional Member of: Malaysia Institute of Planners, Board of Town Planner (A0451) and Malaysian Remote Sensing Society. She has been involved as Principal Investigator (P.I) for RAGS, IIUM-UM collaboration research and universities grant and involved actively as co-researcher in FRGS, ERGS, INSPEN-NAPREC grant.
Other than that, she is also actively involved with the society through professional consultancy activities, both in Malaysia and internationally: CLMV (Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and Laos) collaboration research in 2010, GIS expert in Special Area Study for Petaling Jaya by local authorities and universities. Dr. Norzailawati is also competent in various publications of Journals, Chapter of books, proceeding and manuscript as indexed in Scopus, Web of Science and refereed publications.
